I came out of the operating theatre with nothing but a superficial cut in my perineum.
My doctor told me later that he had essentially done nothing as there was nothing for him to do. I had healed so much internally, and the cut was superficial enough for me to heal from the inside out.
A day before the ‘surgery’, @ellenheed had very accurately diagnosed my condition as ‘perineal sinus infection’. She was the only person who gave me a proper diagnosis pre surgery. My doctor confirmed this post ‘op’.
I met with my doctor a month later, for a post ‘op’ consult and he wrote down notes of how I peristeamed at home. That was the last I saw of him, and thank goodness cos the COVID 19 pandemic was just around the corner.
To this day, I’m in disbelief as to how powerful basic self and health care can be.
I leveraged nutrition, fasting, scar tissue work, and meditation to reduce systemic inflammation, and lo behold it worked!
I shouldn’t be surprised, I was already studying naturopathy before my daughter was born…
Great things happen when you take care of your whole body.
This incredible journey is why Tridevi exists today, and my heartfelt thanks goes to:
– Nat Draper from @soulpod_health for peristeaming
– Jo Watson @wilderotik for scar tissue remediation
– @ellenheed for giving my condition a name when no one else did (not to mention remotely, from the other side of the world!)
– Sunil @coach_sunil for breathwork and nutrition support
– my husband and parents for not losing hope when I did

The time when a doctor took down notes on how to peristeam
Five years ago, I went in for what I thought was the first of many perineal repair surgeries. My doctor and I were equally surprised that it wasn’t so.
