Scar bridging treatment for c-section recovery

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatment for managing scars and their long term impacts

Would you try this? Here I’m having a ‘Scar Bridging’ treatment for my c-section scar from delivering my son 18 months ago.

Beautiful Hannah from @insymmetry.romseywellness is applying a heat treatment called #moxibustion and using #acupuncture to help open up the energetic pathways that were severed from this major abdominal surgery.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), scars are thought to cause disharmony in the body as the deep cuts disrupt the flow of vital energy, commonly referred to as Qi.

Scar Bridging invigorates the Qi and blood in the area to help reconnect energetic pathways and neural connections.

I have been performing self massage around the scar since my little man was a newborn; along with pelvic steaming and castor oil therapy, all effective treatments for softening and healing scar tissue.

The Scar Bridging treatments however have up-leveled my recovery… significantly.

Being a novice belly dancer, I noticed how much more control I have over my lower abdominal area, and the scar tissue has softened furthermore. The numbness associated with post surgery has gone away, and I feel more aligned, connected and centred.

What strategies have you tried for healing from a caesarean birth?
