I started pelvic steaming in late 2019 when my daughter was shy of her first birthday. I had an unusual complication from birthing her that no doctor could help diagnose or treat.

My TCM practitioner, Dr. Nat Draper from @soulpod_health suggested vaginal steaming and my issue cleared within 2 months, leaving medical doctors and midwives perplexed.

The practice helped me connect to a part of myself that I’d begun to associate only with pain and trauma. Pelvic steaming helped me heal not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually too.

I have kept up my steaming practice for the past 4 years, and have noticed improved periods (no pain, no cramps, no clots, no spotting) and my perineal scars are negligible despite having numerous surgeries… this means no painful sex! Hoorah!

My steaming schedule is 3 times a month after my period, for 30 minutes at a time. 90 minutes a month is a pretty good investment to preserve my reproductive, sexual and gynaecological health don’t you think? Plus it’s non-invasive, gentle and has numerous benefits besides the ones mentioned above.

If you are curious and would like to know more, please go ahead and book an obligation free chat to see if pelvic steaming is right for you.
